So, work and home life have kind of exploded the last few days, and by the time I sit down at night, I can barely see straight, which is why you're getting three days in one post. I believe the theme from the past few days is attitude is everything and I am hanging onto my positive attitude by sheer grit. I have to believe it will get better.
Thankfully, any home drama is resolved simply because my poor husband has recovered from the flu and I am no longer playing single parent - every time I have to do it on my own even for a few days, I am reminded yet again of the incredible respect and admiration I have for single parents - hardest job in the world.
Anyway, on to the pictures!
Tuesday, January 4
Tuesday night, Eden had her first gymnastics class, and she LOVED it! It was pretty much a free for all of energy burning with some circle time at the beginning and end, but that's probably exactly what she needs right now, so it was perfect.
Wednesday, January 5On Wednesday, after I picked

her up from daycare, Eden and I headed to The Bass Pro Shop to kill some time. Her favorite thing of the after noon was riding the elevator up and down over and over again. We only set off the alarm once, which I consider a success. She also had a nice time sitting by the stream watching the fish. We narrowly escaped being hit by a flying fish when one jumped right out of the tank. A very good day!
Thursday, January 6
Today was a really, really rough day at work, and I was totally wiped when I got home. After dinner, I took down all of our Christmas cards and cut out all the pictures from the picture cards and put them all up on our fridge. We also sponsor one kid and correspond with another through Compassion International and I keep their pictures and information of the fridge so that I see it often. Doing this little project tonight really helped me to put thing in perspective. It's hard to look into the faces of the people you love the most and feel sorry for yourself, you know? I stole this idea from my friend Mollie and I'm glad I did.
I am beyond ready for the weekend and looking forward to spending Saturday with Eden while Josh is doing a rally with a friend. Hopefully I'll be back to daily posting starting today, although considering how this week as been so far, we'll see. I am thoroughly enjoying this little project though, since it makes me take my camera with me everywhere and keep me looking for moments full of awesome.
